Quick Christmas Tags

For years I’ve been looking at washi tape and secretly wondering…what am I going to do with 30ft of washi tape?!?!  I guess I’m not alone in this feeling because more and more companies are coming out with washi tape ‘books’.  These books offer variety of width, color, and coordinated patterns in quantities you can run out of!

I was in my favorite local craft store and saw this bright and cheery washi tape book.  These tags are created by using a sizzix tag die cut and cutting right through the washi tape page.  To make my washi tape tag sturdy I cut a second tag of the same size out of plain cardstock and adhered the two together.

To embellish the tags I used the recently released Winter Warmth stamps from My Favorite Things along with the coordinating dies.  To make the gloves and hats ‘pop’ off the page I die cut each image 3 times.  After stamping the top image with die ink I adhered all three together and then attached them to the tag.

To finish off the tag I covered a piece of plain card stock with a gold mirror-finish washi tape made by Scotch and then die cut the hole reinforcement.  Once I attached it with some Ranger multi-medium matte the only thing to do was add some ribbon!

I hope you enjoyed these tags!
