Forest in a Jar

I am sitting in my craft room as I write this post and thank goodness no one is here to see this mess! Truth be told, even I can tell – looking at all of my craft supplies – that someone could logically think I need an intervention! 😉  Why do I bring this up?  Well, several months ago I decided to make a single cheat sheet for all my inks so I could easily see, compare, and choose colors.  It used to seem that I had a large piece of paper with a lot of white space…

When you have as much ink as I do you need to find some solid image stamps to showcase them!  These tags are made using images from a stamp set called Winter Scene by Hero Arts.  I used a variety of Versa Magic pigment inks by Tsukineko to get the layered effect with the trees and animals.  I love to try out different types of ink brands and I have found that these stamp on beautifully.  Another great thing about them is they are small and relatively inexpensive…meaning I might have one of two.  😉

To add some depth to the images I used warm grey copic markers on both the jar lids and under the stamped images to add shadow.  To finish them off I used small sizzix tags and attached them with a beautiful metallic hemp cord made by Lawn Fawn.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!
