I love correspondence. When I was young, my mum and I would sit on the porch together and write cards. According to my mum, it is bad form not to send ‘thank you’ cards and reprehensible to not correspond in general. I made this card to participate in a challenge hosted by Neat and Tangled because I like creating cards. But I needed this card because I’m quite delinquent in saying ‘hello’ to my grandmum. (Reprehensible indeed.) 😉
To make this card I used my MISTI to stamp ‘Bonjour’ and then began stamping the flowers into a wreath. The image of the little girl is actually longer and she has an eiffel tower on her head. I masked portions of her off before stamping her in Memento ink onto the A2 panel.
With all the stamping complete I pulled out my copic markers! I used E70, E74 and E79 on her hair and E0000, E000 and E50 on her skin. Her dress is a mix of BG10, BG13 and YG23. For the flowers I used a combination of Y000, YG21, YG03, YG17, RV13 and RV21. Finally, I placed removable masking tape across the card panel horizontally to create the stripes “behind” the focal point – I colored these stripes in using G20.
To complete this card I cut down my card panel along the top and bottom to allow some of the white card stock beneath show through. Using some irRESISTible pico embellisher and white gel pen, I filled in the centers of several of the flowers. Finally, I adhered my panel to a card, added some glossy accents to the heart on her dress, and was done!
I hope you enjoyed my card!
Super cute!! Thanks for joining us at Little Tangles!
