Anniversary invite: stamped

I’m creating three different style of invites for an anniversary party.  I’m making them all to be ‘flats’ – an A2 style card that doesn’t open.  All of the invite information will go on the back of the flat leaving me to decorate the fronts as I wish!  The first set were stamped and then loosely colored with copic markers – to see the first set click here.  This next set uses my MISTI to make light work of stamping seven invites.

The color and interest for the background of my invites comes from stamping multiple images using coordinating inks.  I used a stamp set by Winnie & Walter called ‘In Bloom: Addie’s Garden’ for the background.  These images were placed using my MISTI so I could quickly and easily stamp in iterations on each of the seven invites.  Here is what that process looked like:

After all of the stamping was complete I created my focal point using the ‘Love Frame’ die by savvy stamps and ‘celebrate’ sentiment die by Ellen Hutson.  The frame was cut twice for each invite and then glued together to add some heft.  In the same way, the ‘celebrate’ sentiment was cut three times per invite and adhered together.  The final component was to attach each frame and sentiment to the front of my flat!
