I’m a huge fan of these Gorjuss stamps. They have them in full size and recently released miniatures in their previously released images too. I love the images rubber stamps produce, these have the added benefit of attaching to an acrylic block versus a wooden block – meaning I have an easier time placing my image.
I stamped this image, called Waiting, on Neenah card stock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped the image again on masking paper, cut it out, and placed it on top of my original image. Using My Favorite Things dye ink in ‘peach bellini’ I inked up two images from the ‘Brush Strokes’ stamp set from Mama Elephant to create my striped background.
Once my background was complete I removed the mask and colored my image in using copic markers. The sentiment is from another Mama Elephant set, ‘Happy Everything’. I cut a piece of vellum using a bookmark die from Avery Elle and then prepped the tag for heat embossing. The sentiment ‘Happy Birthday to’ was embossed using Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder. The ‘you’ die is from Ellen Hutson and was cut multiple times and glued together to make my sentiment thicker.
The bow is cut out of blue card stock to tie into the little girl’s blue jacket using a Mama Elephant bow die. I used a clear Glaze pen on her boots to give a little bit of shine and a black Glaze pen on her eyes. With the addition of sequins and glossy accents over the ‘you’ my birthday card was complete!
Thanks for stopping by!
