Polaroid pups

This card showcases adorable pups from ‘Party Time by Lia’ stamp set by Hero Arts.  The card as a whole uses analogous colors – three or more colors that sit next to each other a 12 segment color wheel.  With that in mind, it takes the use of these mini polaroids  by Mama Elephant and a lot of glossy accents 🙂 to make these little pups the center of attention!

To start I stamped the background using an Impression Obsession chevron background in Mama Elephant pigment ink and then ran it through my die cut machine with a Lil’ Inker Design stitched border die.  Next I cut a total of 6 miniature polaroids, stamping the pups and their desserts on three of them and coloring them with copics.
Sheep dog: E50, E53, E41, RV10, E47, Y000, B00
Lab: E29, E39, E15, B05, B29, B00
Corgie: E07, E19, E21, R29, YG17, C00, B00

Once I finished coloring I popped out the inside section of the polaroid and attached it to the inner section of a non-stamped polaroid.  This allows the inner polaroid window to be doubled-up, giving added interest.  Then I covered the inner ‘photo’ portion of the polaroid with glossy accents and set them aside to dry.

I cut out two banners, one in green and the other in white and stamped ‘happy birthday to’ in Versafine ink on the white banner.  I layered the banners and then attached them to the chevron background with my mini-stapler.  I die cut the work ‘you’ several times from the same green card stock and adhered them together and attached it to the panel.

That finished up my card!  Thanks for stopping by!
