So I’ve been trying different techniques and the next several cards on the blog are going to include a lot of watercolor backgrounds, embossing paste, and stencils. I just adore how this card turned out 🙂
Products used:
- Image: The Greeting Farm ‘Shelly’
- Sentiment: ‘Sending’ is Simon Says Stamp; ‘Love’ is Altenew
- Background: Distress inks in Abandoned Coral and Scattered Straw
- Stencil: Simon Says Stamp
Using the distress inks to create my watercolored background, I let it dry before adding texture with a stencil and clear gloss embossing paste. I stamped Shelly on Neenah card stock in My Favorite Things hybrid ink before coloring her in with copic markers. I cut out the ‘sending’ sentiment twice and glued them together and stamped ‘Love’ in Delicata ink, placing it slightly underneath the ‘sending’ sentiment. I fussy cut out Shelly and attached her using foam tape for some added depth. The last step was to add some sequins and gold drops with a Pico embellisher.
I hope you enjoyed my card!
Love the background. Love the soft pinks and layers of pinks as well. Great no line colouring as well. Thanks so much for playing along Simon Says Stamp Stencil It Challenge 🙂
