I originally made this card with the intent that the little mixers would be the focus of my card. Just.didn’t.happen. Sometimes, your project has to evolve for you to end up with something you like. I measured the mixers, a stamp from a Lawn Fawn set, and did math (yes, I actually calculated it 🙂 ) to figure out the distance between mixers horizontally and vertically. I stamped everything in Memento ink on Neenah card stock and then colored the images in with copic markers.
I also stamped this cute little girl from The Greeting Farm, colored her in with copics, and then cut her out using my Brother Scan n’ Cut. To maker the image look “finished” I took my memento pen and colored the edges of the cut image. I trimmed down my mixer panel and trimmed a piece of rainbow stripe patterned paper. To transition between these two panels I took a piece of gold glitter washi tape and adhered it to the rainbow paper and allowed it to peek from underneath the mixer panel.
To make the girl stand out from the brightly colored background I cut a circle die cut by Reverse Confetti out of white card stock and placed it behind her. Lastly, for my sentiment I used a Reverse Confetti stamp set called ‘Bitty Banners’. I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark and then heat embossed it in Zing ‘Glacier’. I trimmed the banner out and placed it behind my main image.
I am submitting this card for a Lawnscaping Challenge. To participate or find out more, click here. Thanks for stopping by!
Fantastic card! I love all the bright colored mixers and the swirly die cut behind the image. So glad you shared your creation at Tuesday Throwdown.

Adorable. It’s useful to hear how you considered and managed the transitions between the different parts.
