My grandfather adores the ‘noble moose’. In honor of that, I made him a birthday card using this cute Lawn Fawn moose as the focal point. I stamped the moose and other images in Memento ink on Neenah card stock and colored them in with copic markers. To create my ground I used 4 different colors of green for the grass, using a BG (blue-green) color to create shadows. For the sky I used 4 different colors of blue and 2 different colors of yellow to create a bokeh style sky.
I originally colored the ‘HB2U!’ banner in a rainbow but decided I didn’t like the overall effect. I re-stamped the banner on patterned paper that reminds me of a picnic blanket, perfect for my little woodland theme! I fussy cut the flags and adhered them over the original images – I like how this added a little bit of dimension and drew some attention to the banner. The alphabet letters used on the banner are also from Lawn Fawn and the size works perfectly with the banner. I stamped the letters in Versafine onyx black ink to make sure the letters stood out against the patterned paper.
Thank you for stopping by!
