Father’s Day

I’m officially returned from vacationing and it is time to blog!  First up is my ‘prepared weeks in advance but still sent late’ father’s day card.  Luckily my dad falls into the ‘just happy I received something’ category and hasn’t disowned me. 🙂

Using the ‘Three amigos’ stamp set from Mama Elephant and ‘You’ve Got Mail’ from Lawn Fawn I stamped the images on card stock and colored them with copic markers.  I die cut the word ‘happy’, also from Mama Elephant, several times and layered them all together with glue.  Taking a gray copic marker I colored the ‘happy’ sentiment and then covered it in glossy accents.  Next, I prepped some black card stock for heat embossing and then stamped ‘Father’s Day’ in Versamark ink.  I covered the ink with white embossing powder from Ranger and heat set it.

To create the background I stamped the map by Studio Calico on an A2 panel and colored it in with copics.  I ran the panel through my Big Shot with a Lil’ Inker Design ‘Silly Stitched Die’ to get the wonky stitched border.  Finally I adhered all the elements to the panel and sent it off…eventually. 😉

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
