I’m trying to keep my cards simple after all of those handmade holiday cards! I wanted this birthday card to be ‘bright and happy’ and selected my ink colors to reflect that.
The stamps and die cut I used are both from Lil’ Inker Designs: Doodled Daisies and Boxed Up Birthday Greeting die.
The first thing I did was die cut my greeting so I could get an idea for placement and where I would stamp my flowers. I took a pencil and lightly marked around it before bringing my A2 panel to my MISTI. I stamped the black part of the flower first and then lined up the solid part of each flower using a mix of Simon Says Stamp die inks.
My birthday greeting melted into the background so I ink blended a panel of card stock in a matching color in an ombre pattern. I then die cut the panel and stacked it on top of my original cut greeting – using glue to adhere the two.
That completes my card – super simple!
That’s so pretty. I love how simple you’ve kept this x
